Mykonos

Wow, talk about a tourist destination - that’s Mykonos in a nutshell. The island is a massive rock with very little vegetation. The main center is filled with meandering walking streets that caters to the party crowd and the cruise ship day trippers. Shops and restaurants on every corner and in every nook and cranny available. If you want to leisurely stroll the streets, do it early because once the day trippers and partiers arrive, you will have to pay more attention to your surroundings as not to accidentally bump into someone. This island is also very expensive, nothing is cheap. The beaches are nice and the bus system works well but like everything else, they are very crowded. The island homes are trimmed in all different colors, yes you’ll see your typical blue trim but also green, red, lavender, and tan amongst other colors. No consistency in colors, not offensive just different. There are also a lot of rock homes which makes sense with the island being one big rock. Would I visit this island again, probably not - it’s just too crowded and too expensive.
