Part of our destination entails our travels to said destination. Our adventure started with a 3-hour layover in Denver. That layover turned into a 4, 5, 6-hour layover. Not only was the layover unbearable but the plane was a smaller plane than scheduled because the scheduled plane had “problems“. The airline asked for volunteers to leave the following morning and was offering $1250 per person in vouchers. Yep, we took that offer despite losing a night in our Boston hotel (we wouldn’t have gotten to the hotel until 3 am anyway) and had to book a hotel in Denver but, if you do the math, we are way ahead of the game. 😉
Boston is a great place to see some interesting historical sites. You will meet very friendly and helpful people, just pay attention because they are kind of hard to understand because they talk kind of funny. The city is pretty, the old buildings are beautiful and Boston Common is a great way to spend time relaxing and people watch. We’ve been here a few times and had never been to Chinatown so we were overjoyed with our plans to see and eat some great food. Oh, now I know why we’ve never been here, if you blink you will miss it. Very disappointing, the food was nothing special and there is nothing to see.
We had great weather the first couple of days just to be thwarted the last day with heavy rains. Overall, Boston is a must-see charming city.
